Hello. My English name is Ms. Kristine Wogstad but my students all call me Wu Laoshi (Teacher Wu).
I don't look very Chinese but I grew up in Taiwan so I feel really comfortable in Chinese and I love just about everything Chinese....like wearing Chinese style clothes and eating with chopsticks.
Many American students (and parents) think that Chinese is a very difficult language to learn. I would agree that Chinese is a challenging to read and write but it is pretty easy to learn to speak Chinese. I have taught Chinese in the St. Paul Public Schools for over twenty years and I become ever more confident that my students can and will learn Chinese.
