| November Academic Lessons | | The title of this lesson was "catch an attitude" and had a quote "Your attitude determines you altitude." This quotes tied in with the following activities. On one of the activities, the leaders brainstormed words that describe what good and bad attitudes look like and feel like.
Next, the WEB leaders showed the seventh graders how your attitude determines your altitude. They showed it by filling one balloon with marbles and one with papers. They then threw the balloons into the air at the same time and observed which one came down faster. The one with the marbles came down faster. This activity showed how a bad attitude weighs you down and a good attitude builds you up.
The final activity they did was in a circle. The students were in a circle with the WEB leaders and one after another they copied the same motions that the first person had started. This activity tried to show how attitudes can be contagious.
The seventh graders were asked about these activities and what they learned from them. "If my friends are happy, I'll be happy."-Zakaria "My goal is to have a good attitude."-JC
