Welcome to Reading in the Content Areas and Reading Strategies.  I am glad you are looking at this and hope you will find it's contents useful.

My name is Alicia Beaumaster.  As you can see in the picture, my husband and I recently welcomed our daughter into our family.  I am really lucky to have a job I love because it makes it a easier to leave her each day to come to work!

I have been a teacher in this district for nine years.  I have taught here at Highland Park Junior High for the last six years.  In that time, I have taught English Language Arts (both 7th and 8th grade), Reading Strategies and Reading in the Content Areas.  I am excited to be focusing my attention exclusively on reading this year!
