French and French Immersion

There are two French programs at Highland Park Jr High School.

The regular French program is an introduction to the language and culture of the French speaking world. We use the district adopted text -- Discovering French Bleu -- Nouveau.

The French Immersion program is a continuation of the French program offered at the French Immersion school in St. Paul. Those students who were a part of the elementary program at L'étoile du Nord are eligible to enroll in immersion classes at Highland Jr. Under special circumstances, students with a high ability in French can also enroll but only with permission of the immersion teachers.
